A Rhode Island Family’s Story

Starfire has been mentoring a group of families in Rhode Island for the past two years to activate their communities through projects. These sessions have mostly occurred virtually over Zoom calls, and the Rhode Island families secured their own funding for projects after the initial training by Starfire.

“As we’re in the midst of the COVID-19 virus outbreak right now, I think the world could use a lot of healing. Not only physical, but in terms of relationships. It has been such a joy to get to know [our neighbors] and to have a real give and take. I can see how if this were multiplied throughout communities and states and nations – it would be a joyful place.”
